Attuned Privacy Policy

The Short Version
We will never sell your data. Ever.
Your information stays private. Profile details are only shared with play partners you approve—and you control exactly what they see. We don't run ads or use your data for ad targeting. Period.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: Email address, password (encrypted), display name, and optional profile photo.
Profile Information: Survey responses, intimacy preferences, boundaries, and compatibility scores you create through the app.
Usage Data: How you interact with the app, gameplay history, and device information for troubleshooting.
Communications: Messages you send us for support.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Create and manage your account
- Generate your intimacy profile and compatibility scores
- Personalize activities to match your preferences and boundaries
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
- Send service-related notifications
- Respond to your support requests
We do not use your data to target advertisements. Attuned is a subscription service.
3. AI-Powered Personalization
Our AI recommends activities based on your profile preferences, boundaries, and compatibility with your partner(s). Your personally identifiable information (name, email) is not sent to our AI systems—only anonymized preference data.
4. Sharing With Play Partners
You control what partners see:
- Default sharing: Your display name and compatibility summary only
- Optional sharing: Profile scores and specific interests (if you enable this in settings)
Partners only see information you explicitly authorize. You can change sharing settings anytime.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We use trusted partners to operate Attuned:

These providers process data solely to provide their services to us and are bound by confidentiality obligations. We may update our service providers as our technology evolves.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
6. Data Security
We protect your data using:
- Encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS)
- Encrypted password storage
- JWT-based authentication
- Database-level security policies
- Regular security reviews
No system is perfectly secure, but we implement industry-standard protections for sensitive data.
7. Your Rights
All Users:
- Access your data through the app
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and data
- Withdraw consent for optional data uses
EU/EEA Users (GDPR):
You also have the right to:
- Request a portable copy of your data
- Object to certain processing
- Lodge complaints with your local data protection authority

8. Data Retention
- Active accounts: We retain your data while your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: We delete your personal data within 30 days of account deletion.
- Anonymized data: We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics.
9. Age Requirement
Attuned is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn we've collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We'll notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice before they take effect.
